During this severe winter season, elderly and infirm patients can feel particularly isolated. For some, care or company often arrives only when caregivers are able to navigate the often-treacherous roads. But "when a patient needs a visit," said VNS Westchester director of community education, Mary Gadomski, "we absolutely have to get there."
