New Name for Westchester Care at Home

In concert with its 30^th anniversary, Westchester Care at Home, an affiliate of Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester (VNSW) has changed its name, and is now doing business as VNSW at Home.

According to agency Administrator, Eileen Killeen, “We will continue to provide the same outstanding care, comfort and compassion on which our patients and their families have come to rely, but with a new name. We made this change to reinforce our partnership with VNSW, allowing us to share in the premier reputation that they have established over the past 119 years. This name change will also solidify the seamless transition of patient care from VNSW Medicare homecare services to VNSW at Home’s private care services, benefiting both agencies, and most importantly, our patients.”

VNSW President and CEO, Timothy P. Leddy, noted that, “We are proud to continue the combined team work that has historically been delivered by both agencies to provide the best possible services for our patients. The name change underscores our commitment to ensuring a continuum of care that is based on the evolving needs of individuals in the communities we serve.”

Leddy also announced that VNSW and VNSW at Home, which operate under the auspices of the Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group, Inc., will be moving on October 5^th to a new location at 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. “The new location,” Leddy said, “will for the first time bring both agencies together in one contiguous space. This is another important means of better leveraging staffing and other complementary resources for an enhanced patient experience.”
