VNSW's Lisa Sioufas Named one of Westchester Magazine's "Healthcare Heroes"
VNS Westchester’s (VNSW) Lisa Sioufas, Manager of the agency’s Mental Health and Social Work Program for the past seven years, was chosen by a blue-ribbon panel of judges to be one of ten “Healthcare Heroes” named by Westchester Magazine.
Selected unanimously by the judges from among close to 100 applicants submitted by healthcare organizations county-wide, Lisa was honored at a luncheon held by the Magazine on May 15, 2014 at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown before an audience of 300 people. A profile of Lisa also appeared in the May 2014 issue of Westchester Magazine.
“It is no surprise whatsoever that Lisa received this well-deserved honor,” said VNSW’s President & CEO, Lou Nemnom. “Over the past 18 years with our agency, she has been cited time and again as an exemplary practitioner, leader, educator, and steadfast advocate for people coping with mental illness at home. She is known for thinking outside the box when it comes to coordinating mental health care for people of all ages in our community. I know I speak for our entire Board and Staff in saying how proud I am of Lisa’s achievements.”
