As an extension of our Smoking Cessation Program for patients, VNSW is co-sponsoring a series of 4 classes in March with the Scarsdale Medical Group designed to help community residents stop smoking. Conducted by our Tobacco Cessation Specialist, Sara Somerville, the class teaches participants skills and techniques to help them quit the habit for good, leading to improved health.
Representatives from healthcare, social service, nonprofit, and other community agencies serving Putnam and Dutchess counties are cordially invited to VNSW's Putnam Branch office 5th anniversary cocktail reception on Tuesday, November 10th, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in our Putnam office in Brewster. Guest speakers include: MaryEllen Odell, Putnam County Executive and Allen Beals, Commissioner, Putnam Co. Dept. of Health.
Our Spring Benefit Gala held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at The Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison, was a smashing success! We had a record turnout for the event which helped to support our enhanced home health care services and free community health education programs offered in Westchester, the Bronx, Dutchess, Putnam and Rockland counties.
Make a dinner reservation at Sam's of Gedney Way in White Plains for Wednesday, February 25th, between 5:00 - 10:00 pm, and the restaurant will donate 10% of all revenue from the evening to help support VNS Westchester's free community health education programs that enhance the health and well-being of residents of Westchester and beyond.
