As we prepare to greet the New Year we, like most people, pause to take a brief look back at the year that is drawing to a close. There is much that we can say about our activities at VNS Westchester in 2013 – many milestones of which we are proud.
But, at the end of the day, it’s not so much about what we say, but what our patients and their families have to say about the care they received from our agency. This, by far, is the most accurate yardstick for measuring our value to the community during the year that has passed.

VNS Westchester marked the launch of its home healthcare services for Dutchess residents by hosting a networking reception for over 100 healthcare and social service providers in the County. The event, held on October 23rd, at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie was an opportunity to learn about our services and how to coordinate care for patients.

Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group, Inc., the parent organization of VNS Westchester and its affiliate agency, Westchester Care at Home, has announced the appointment of six new Board Members. Each brings diverse skills and experience that will help the agency implement its strategic plan for growth while adapting to the changing home care landscape.
Four deserving nursing students from local colleges were the beneficiaries of scholarships totaling $17,500 awarded by VNS Westchester at the March 8th Women's Hall of Fame luncheon, sponsored by the Women's Research and Education Fund.
